If you still don't understand why subscription music services rock, check out the new Rhapsody. They've done a pretty nice job porting their downloadable app to the web. I still prefer fat client services due to the better interaction, but this is a nice alternative for when you're away from your personal computer. It's actually surprising to me that it's taken so long for someone to do a web-based subscription service. I guess companies were hesitant after MP3.com was sued into oblivion. How I used to love MP3.com's "Beam-It" technology...if you forget, MP3.com was destroyed because they built a service that recognized CD's and then allowed you to listen to them online. It's nice that after years of regressing, we're finally fulfilling the promise of years ago.
